On Thursday 26th March 2015 the partners of the project “Children’s Knees – Training induced reduction of lower- limb joint loads during locomotion in obese children: a randomised controlled trial” came together at the St. Poelten University of Applied Sciences for a first common meeting. After a short introduction of the members and a brief presentation of the project content by the project leader Dr. Brian Horsak, the most important steps for the upcoming months were defined.
The detailed goals of the project were refined and critical points within the project were discussed. In addition a dissemination plan for the scientific publication of the project results was defined. As one side goal of the project is to set up a sustainable research group, dates for future meetings were set. During these upcoming events the progress of the project will be discussed as well as ideas for follow-up projects will be developed. Thus, the course for the ongoing development of clinical research in Lower Austria is set.
