Biography
Jakob Doppler attended the University of Applied Sciences in Hagenberg (Austria) studying Media Technology and Digital Media (MSc). He was working in renowned companies such as Interactive Institute Sonic Studio (Sweden), Ars Electronica Futurelab (Austria) and on the Institute of Pervasive Computing focusing on interactive media and art. He has experience in fund raising and project management with large companies such as Austrian energy provider Energie AG Oberösterreich, Siemens Corporate Technologies and European integrated healthcare provider VAMED.
In 2013 he was awarded first place for the world biggest, academic plus-energy house contest Solar Decathlon in California beating Stanford and Caltech to the rear places. Â Currently he is leading various national funded projects ((FFG COIN Aufbau CARMA, FFG Benefit BRELOMATE). His research interests cover human computer interaction, mobile & context computing. This includes HW/SW conceptualization, user centered design and R&D in smart and mobile sensing environments as well as context-sensitive scenarios.
Since 2010 Doppler is teaching and researching at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences - Department Media & Digital Technologies and Academic Director of the part-time master degree program Digital Healthcare.
