CARMA / SoniGait – Development of low cost shoe-insoles that can facilitate gait rehabilitation in real-time
The aim of the CARMA / SONIGait Project is the design and manufacturing of a portable and low-cost pair of wireless-sensor shoe insoles, which are capable of capturing a person’s gait (walking) parameters and providing auditory information in real-time for altering movement. The ultimate goal of this project is to provide both clinicians and patients with an accurate and low-cost tool that will aid in the rehabilitation of abnormal gait patterns.
